Job summary

Baptist Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Mission Trail Baptist Hospital to perform PICC insertions and ultrasound-guided placements for adult patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role requires 1 year PICC experience, Texas RN license, and BLS; certification in advanced Peripheral Inserted Central Catheterization is required or in progress. On-site with comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Texas State RN license required.
• 1 year PICC experience with ultrasound and micro-introducers.
• Certification in advanced Peripheral Inserted Central Catheterization.
• INS certification preferred.
• Active BLS (ARC or AHA) required at hire; AHA BLS within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess and place peripherally inserted central catheters using ultrasound and micro-introducers for adult patients (in- and outpatients).
• Ensure IV care standard is met for all patients within the facility.
• Teach patients and staff; troubleshoot and repair various central venous catheters.
• Maintain and generate quarterly reports; complete established competencies within introductory period.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
