Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Registered Nurse with PICC experience to provide vascular access, placing PICC lines and peripheral IVs, and to obtain lab work as needed, with or without ultrasound. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective care and document all nursing activities.

The role requires Kentucky nursing licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and a minimum of two years of nursing experience. Ultrasound-guided IV/PICC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in Kentucky, BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience.
• Preferred ultrasound-guided IV insertion and PICC line experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides vascular access such as placing PICC lines and peripheral IVs, with or without ultrasound.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot vascular access devices, including central lines.
• Educate other healthcare team members on vascular access care.
• Responsible for charting of care.
• Communicate with Team Lead regarding patient assessments and treatments.
• Data collection for patient safety and quality.
• Daily assessment of all IV sites and dressing changes per policy.
