Job summary

Nokia is seeking a senior leader to drive production testing for Photonics Integrated Circuits in the California Bay Area. You will lead a team of PIC Test Engineers to deliver scalable test solutions for large-scale production of complex photonic devices, collaborating with Wafer fab partners in Sunnyvale and South San Jose.

The ideal candidate holds a PhD or MS in a related field with at least 5 years in photonics or opto-electronics and proven managerial experience.

Qualifications

PhD or MS in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or similar.
Minimum 5 years photonic or opto-electronic devices industry experience.
Experience in managerial roles.
Experience with hiring and team expansion is a plus.
Fundamental understanding of active and passive optical semiconductor devices and optics concepts.
Ability to work cross-functional with closely meshed teams.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of PIC Test Engineers in the California Bay Area to develop test solutions for large-scale production of photonic integrated circuits.
Deliver production PIC test capacity and capability to meet ramp requirements with InP wafer fab locations in Sunnyvale and South San Jose.
Expand test lab infrastructure and lead cross-functional efforts to improve test efficiency and capacity.
Manage hardware and engineering resources, set priorities, and ensure NPI test hardware, software, and procedures meet production needs.
Expand PIC Production Test team through hiring, onboarding, and mentoring; grow team capabilities.
