Job summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a Quality Coordinator – Risk Manager to support the Director in leading the organization’s quality improvement program, monitor performance initiatives, and help maintain a culture of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The role involves documenting risk-related activities, assisting with chart audits, and collaborating with leadership and clinical teams to enhance patient care outcomes.

Shifts are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical or behavioral hospital setting.
• Requires Level One Fingerprint Card.
• Flexible scheduling with strong time management.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional communication at all levels.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Skilled in conflict resolution and handling patient complaints.
• Ability to track, analyze data, and assist with chart audits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the event reporting system and ensure timely completion of incident reviews and corrective actions.
• Investigate, document, and report issues related to patient care and safety, including timely reporting and trending analysis.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and data for internal committees and leadership review.
• Support the Director of PI/RM in performance improvement projects, policy development, and staff education.
• Review medical records for quality, safety, and documentation compliance concerns.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among hospital departments to promote safety and service excellence.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
• Placement in the pay range is based on experience and qualifications; compensation may include shift differential and other pay practices.

The coordinator helps evaluate program effectiveness, supports the implementation of best practices, and ensures accurate documentation and reporting of risk-related activities. Working collaboratively with leadership and interdisciplinary teams, the role contributes to achieving optimal patient safety and organizational performance outcomes.

Job Qualifications

Placement in the pay range

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CMC Phoenix roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CMC Phoenix in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
