Omega Law Group in Houston seeks a Litigation Paralegal to support personal injury litigation. You will demonstrate proactive research, strong organizational skills, and excellent legal drafting and client communication.

The role involves drafting pleadings, coordinating discovery, managing case files, and assisting trial teams with exhibits and witness preparation while upholding deadlines and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a civil litigation paralegal, with a preference for personal injury experience.
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with client confidentiality commitment.

Responsibilities

• Draft and file pleadings with accuracy and proper formatting.
• Propound discovery with proper case captions and proofs of service.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and documents; review files.
• Respond to discovery requests timely with appropriate objections and substantive responses.
• Draft and format other discovery tools and review subpoenas for limitations.
• Organize and manage case files with clear naming and saving conventions.
• Coordinate with handling attorney, clients, experts, and witnesses on case status and deadlines.
• Participate actively in department and team meetings.
• Schedule and oversee depositions, hearings, and other events.
• Assist with expert designation and trial preparation, including subpoenas and trial binders.
