As a Physiotherapist II, you will coordinate physiotherapy and allied health clinical services, supervise students and team members, and work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. You will make clinical decisions on assessments, interventions, discharges, and follow-ups, providing leadership on complex cases and ensuring evidence-based practice aligned with Alberta legislation, standards, and policies. Your responsibilities include managing daily operations, monitoring care delivery, participating in program development, and representing the department on committees. You will collaborate with managers and healthcare providers to determine staffing needs, workflow, and caseload priorities. AHS supports physiotherapists by providing access to experienced clinicians across the province and integrating with the provincial Electronic Medical Record system, Connect Care, to facilitate real-time information sharing.
Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university or a bachelor's degree with related experience. Active or eligible registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
Additional Requirements:Effective self-management, initiative, teamwork, strong communication skills, and physical ability to perform repetitive patient lifting and transferring.
Preferred:Recent experience in an acute hospital physiotherapy setting.
