Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin on OnRamps is seeking a Course Support - Physics to assist with course management in the Physics courses. This is a work-study style student employee position supporting ongoing initiatives and urgent projects.

Responsibilities include distributing modules in Quest and Canvas, prototyping courses, performing clerical record-keeping, and preparing materials for instructors and staff. This is remote in the Austin area with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in Physics or related discipline
• Intermediate computer skills: MS Word, Excel (creating and using templates), PowerPoint
• Experience with Canvas LMS and Quest
• Recommendation from at least one professional or academic reference

Responsibilities

• Distribution of modules, activities, and other course resources in Quest
• Distribution of modules, activities, and other course resources in Canvas - Learning Management System under the direction of course staff
• Participation in course prototyping, user testing, and continuous improvement
• Clerical work directly concerned with record-keeping for classes
• Preparation of classroom materials for OnRamps - Physics Instructors and staff
• Non-instructional work in OnRamps courses or sections
• Other functions directly related to course management.
