Job summary

Campbell University is seeking an Adjunct Faculty - Physics Instructor for its Adult & Online Education program. This part-time role requires delivering engaging, accessible physics instruction to diverse adult learners, with courses offered remotely or in-person as scheduled.

The instructor will develop materials from objectives, administer assessments, post grades, and uphold university policies, including FERPA and Title IX.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree with at least 18 graduate hours from an accredited university.
• Teaching experience in traditional or online formats preferred.
• Experience teaching adult students preferred.
• Familiarity with Blackboard LMS preferred.
• Higher education or non-profit sector experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel to Buies Creek, NC for interview and training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage course materials from objectives and provided textbook.
• Deliver courses via remote/synchronous platforms and in-person as scheduled.
• Administer tests, assignments, and online discussions.
• Complete Powell training before teaching.
• Evaluate student performance and post grades.
• Maintain professional communications with students and staff.
• Respond to student emails within 24 hours.
• Follow university policies including FERPA and Title IX.
• Attend to other duties as assigned.
