An established industry player is seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in systems engineering and physics-based modeling. Leverage physics expertise to test and analyze physical phenomena to support S & T client challenges. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentor or supervise employees in both company and technical competencies.
Basic Qualifications:
11+ years of experience conducting systems engineering or research developing and advancing physics-based models relating to atmospheric transport or biological weapons effects
11+ years of experience with computational dynamics and modeling, including solving partial differential equations using numerical methods such as finite element, finite volume, and finite difference
Experience creating software tools that generate images with realistic, physics-based artifacts and qualities, supporting anomaly detection and classification
Ability to evaluate all project aspects, including design, development, execution, and implementation of chemical and biological research
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
Bachelor's degree in Physics or Applied Mathematics
Additional Qualifications:
Experience as a principal investigator
Experience with DoD agencies
Experience with military operations, biological command, control, communications, survivability, and hard target defeat
Knowledge of systems engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning
Knowledge of weapons control technology
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Master's degree in Physics or Applied Mathematics

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
