Exodigo is looking for a Geophysicist/Physicist to join our algorithms team. In this role, you will need to innovate and solve subsurface imaging problems using multidisciplinary domains in Geophysics, Math, and Computational Science within the Geotech domain. The role includes research tasks requiring understanding of elasticity and electromagnetics domains, optimization methods, and Python programming language.

Responsibilities:

1. Owns technical vision and prioritization for the team
2. Mentors and unblocks team members
3. Reviews critical PRs and ensures code quality
4. Drives sprint planning and estimation
5. Takes responsibility for delivery timelines and team performance
6. Hands-on coding: 30–50% of time

Requirements

1. B.Sc. in Geophysics or Physics
2. 3 years of experience in a managerial role
3. 3 years of experience in a relevant industry, working with real data
4. Proficiency in geophysical signal processing (seismic, ground penetrating radar, ERT, FDEM)
5. Knowledge of Geotech data acquisition processes (e.g., SPT, CPT)
6. Experience with Linux-based systems and Python programming language
7. Demonstrated ability to conceive of and develop creative/innovative technology
8. Strong teamwork, communication skills, and collaboration in complex projects
9. Proficiency in deep learning algorithms and frameworks
10. Experience with modern source control
11. Proficiency in numerical modeling of elastic and EM wave propagation
12. Proficiency in optimization methods to solve inverse problems
