Job summary

Nalley Consulting seeks a Physicist and All Source Analyst in Reston, VA to support intelligence analysis with TS/SCI and CI poly requirements. Location: Reston, VA or Charlottesville, VA.

Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of intelligence experience, or 12+ years in lieu of a degree, are required. The role involves research, writing, modeling, and briefings across related physics fields, with tight timelines and collaboration with mission partners.

Qualifications

  • Experience with all-source analytic production on nuclear programs.
  • Knowledge of ICD 203/206 and DIA writing style.
  • Experience querying SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT, and HUMINT data sets.

Responsibilities

  • Support defense analytical requirements with research, capability or limitation analysis, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Conduct interdisciplinary physics analyses related to optics, acoustics, semiconductors, lasers, and weapons testing.
  • Identify characteristics of hard to deeply burried targets and provide actionable leads.

Join the Nalley Consulting team as a Physicist and All Source Analyst.

Position: Physicist and All Source Analyst
LCAT:Senior
Location:Reston, VA or Charlottesville, VA
Required Clearance and polygraph: TS/SCI and CI poly required. Candidates with current CI poly conducted within the past 7 years strongly prioritized.
Required experience and education: Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience with intelligence, or 12+ years of experience with intelligence in lieu of a degree.

Description
  • Support defense analytical requirements with enhanced scientific research, capability or limitation analysis, reverse engineering analysis or characterizations, and facility and vulnerability assessments.
  • Support applied and interdisciplinary fields of physics such as astrophysics, biophysics, directed energy weapons, and geophysics.
  • Conduct independent research, technical writing, modeling, and oversight or advising of allied engineering disciplines on fiber optics, acoustics, semiconductors, lasers, weapons development, and testing, and identifythe characteristics of hard and deeply buried targets.
Qualifications
  • Experience conducting all-source analytic production on nuclear programs, including production facilities, stockpiles,logistics, systems employment, security, and vulnerabilities of facilities and stockpiles
  • Experience with all-source analysis production, including analytic tradecraft, ICD 203 and 206, and DIA writing style
  • Knowledge of applying and querying SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT, and HUMINT data sets and databases
  • Knowledge of nuclear weapons programs, including nuclear weapons effects, nuclear fuel cycle, and nuclear infrastructure
  • Ability to independently develop high-quality tailored deliverables, including actionable leads, ICD-compliant written products, network charts, and formal or informal briefings
  • Ability to adjust to changing mission requirements and deliver products withina short timeframe
  • Ability to collaborate with other mission partners on production and take lead briefing at unique events
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience with intelligence, or 12+ years of experience with intelligence in lieu of a degree
Other qualifications:
  • Experience countering missiles and delivery systems, advanced weapons, and CBRNE
  • Experience with data analytics and visualization
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
