Job summary

MultiCare Health System in Tacoma is seeking an experienced Urology Hospitalist to provide inpatient and emergency urology services at designated hospital campuses. This in-house position will address urgent urology needs and collaborate closely with clinic-based urologists.

Qualifications

• Must be board certified or board eligible urologist.
• Valid WA state license required.
• DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority necessary.
• BLS certification by AHA is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient consults.
• Conduct ED consults.
• Rounding on patients as the attending or admitting Physician.
• Perform urgent/emergent surgeries and procedures.
• Collaborate with clinic-based urologists for seamless patient care.

Position Summary

Urology Hospitalist to cover designated MultiCare Hospital campus as outlined in Practice Plan. Coverage will include inpatient and emergency urology medical and surgical services. The position is in‑house/on‑site and is the primary point of contact for urgent/emergent urology needs.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient consults
• ED consults
• Rounding on patients where they are the attending or admitting Physician
• Urgent/emergent surgery and procedures
• Collaborate with clinic‑based urologists to ensure seamless patient care and follow‑up

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible urologist
• WA state license

• BLS for Healthcare providers – certification by AHA

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $575,000.00 - $607,000.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
