Job summary

Hartford Healthcare-GoHealth Urgent Care seeks experienced physicians for expanding urgent care networks in Connecticut. You will independently treat a wide range of acute conditions and supervise GoHealth PAs/NPs remotely when needed.

The role requires board certification or eligibility, state licensure, and 2–5 years of post-residency experience in urgent care or emergency medicine. A supportive team and diverse patient mix are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school is required.
• 2–5 years of post-residency clinical experience required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by ABMS/AOA in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
• Active state medical licensure.
• Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience preferred.
• Suturing and splinting experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat patients in urgent care settings.
• Take patient medical histories and order/interpret diagnostic tests and X-rays.
• Make diagnoses and prescribe medications.
• Treat minor injuries requiring sutures, splints, or casting.
• Record progress notes and provide patient education.
• Supervise GoHealth PAs/NPs remotely when cases require supervision.
• Collaborate with leaders on credentialing for PAs/NPs.
