Job summary

MedPro Group, an industry-leading Berkshire Hathaway insurance company, seeks an underwriter to support physician book of business. You will analyze physician risks, provide pricing and structure, and collaborate with sales and claims teams to protect profitability and service excellence.

The role emphasizes strong communication, relationship-building with distribution partners, and adherence to compliance. A BA/BS and 1+ year of physician underwriting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent experience.
• Strong internal and external communication, analytical, negotiation and organizational skills.
• Strong PC Skills.
• Some experience with Physicians & Surgeons, ancillary providers or non-hospital facilities.
• Ability to maintain strong relationships with Distribution Partners.
• Ability to consistently demonstrate timely and appropriate account management while achieving compliance requirements.
• Prefer RPLU, CPCU or IIA designation.
• Minimum of 1 year experience underwriting physician exposures.

Responsibilities

• Assist other underwriters with physician book to maintain relationships and drive new business flow.
• Underwrite and analyze physician risks and offer appropriate underwriting solutions with focus on profitability.
• Provide pricing and structure based on information and timely turnaround.
• Maintain excellent communication with internal teams and uphold MedPro Group standards.
• Complete risk analyses including coverage evaluation and terms to determine structure and pricing with guidance.
• Work within authority and follow escalation requirements.
• Maintain communication with sales, claims PR & RM teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
