Job summary

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ, is expanding our Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery and seeking a skilled Trauma Surgeon to join our team. You will deliver comprehensive surgical trauma care within a multidisciplinary environment and contribute to resident and medical student education.

Ideal candidates have board certification/eligibility in general surgery with surgical critical care, fellowship training, and a demonstrated teaching record.

Qualifications

• Board Certification/Eligibility in General Surgery (and Surgical Critical Care) is required or expected.
• Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care, Acute Care Surgery & Trauma.
• Demonstrated clinical and didactic teaching ability.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Acute Care and Trauma surgery call.
• Provide surgical trauma ICU coverage.
• Deliver backup call coverage as needed.
• Develop a full-time clinical practice.
• Educate residents and medical students.
• Participate in clinical research.

The Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center offers a dynamic environment where you'll provide comprehensive surgical care within our collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Our surgeons are dedicated to excellence in patient care, resident mentorship, and medical student education.

We're seeking a passionate surgeon who can:

• Work effectively with diverse students, trainees, and colleagues
• Participate in Acute Care and Trauma surgery call
• Provide surgical trauma ICU coverage
• Deliver backup call coverage as needed
• Develop a full-time clinical practice
• Educate residents and medical students
• Participate in clinical research

Your qualifications should include:
