Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our trauma surgery team in Glendale, AZ. The PA will round on patients in the Trauma room, Surgical Trauma ICU, and hospital floor, and participate in clinic and OR first assist duties.

Requirements include board certification, AZ licensure eligibility, DEA license, and 1–2 years of critical care or trauma surgery experience. Full-time position with day/night shifts on rotation.

Qualifications

• Board certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Licensed or eligible to be licensed in AZ.
• Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substances.
• 1–2 years' experience in critical care or trauma surgery.

Responsibilities

• Round on patients in the Trauma room, Surgical Trauma ICU, and hospital floor.
• See patients in the general surgery and trauma acute care clinic.
• Provide Surgical First Assist in the OR.

We provide care to a varied group of patients with traumatic injuries, acute and general care surgical pathologies. Our PA will round on patients in the Trauma room, Surgical Trauma ICU, and hospital floor; see patients in the general surgery and trauma acute care clinic and provide Surgical First Assist in the OR. Qualified candidates must have the ability to work in a collaborative environment; one that thrives in a highly integrated and innovative setting; and a desire to focus on patient excellence.

Requirements:
