West Virginia University School of Medicine - Eastern Division and the Department of Surgery seek a General/Bariatric Surgeon (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will practice in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
The successful candidate will practice in 50% General and 50% Bariatric Surgery. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the candidate will be involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for a state medical license. Completion of a surgical residency program is required. Robotics experience is required. Fellowship in Bariatrics is preferred. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in General/Bariatric Surgery. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Martinsburg, WV, in the Eastern Panhandle, just over an hour from Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, MD, near three international airports. The area offers a rural atmosphere with a lower cost of living, little congestion, and access to urban areas. Recent growth includes telecommuting and high-tech industries due to proximity to Washington, D.C., and Baltimore.
