West Virginia University School of Medicine - Eastern Division and the Department of Surgery seek a General Surgeon (ranks: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will practice in Ranson, West Virginia.
Responsibilities: Practice in General Surgery. Provide excellent patient care and participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent, eligibility for state medical license, completion of a surgical residency, board certification/eligibility in General Surgery, and proficiency in robotics are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
About Ranson, WV: Located in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, just over an hour from Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, MD, with proximity to three international airports. It offers a rural atmosphere, lower cost of living, and easy access to urban areas. The region has experienced growth due to influxes of professionals from nearby cities, supporting telecommuting and high-tech industries.
The WVU Health System has expanded significantly, offering specialized care in cancer, cardiovascular, neuroscience, and more.
