Job summary

Join Parachute is seeking a Physician Substitute to join our Center Medical team in Huntsville. You will monitor donor eligibility, perform health screenings, and ensure donor safety, working closely with center staff to maintain a welcoming environment.

You will be cross-trained across all center functions, including phlebotomy and station setup, with a pathway to expanded responsibilities and higher compensation as the site scales.

Qualifications

• Age: at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified/licensed in the state as RN, Paramedic, LPN, or EMT.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand/sit for extended periods.
• Ability to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor donor eligibility and safety; perform health screenings and physical exams.
• Respond to donor reactions and provide care as needed.
• Collaborate with center staff to create a positive environment for donors.
• Manage health logs and test results with clinical oversight.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and compliant.
• Cross-train in all center functions including phlebotomy, processing bottles, and station installation.
