Job summary
Duke Health, based in Durham, NC, seeks a physician to lead the Duke Smoking Cessation Program and Research Center within the Department of Medicine's Medical Oncology Division. The role combines 90% clinical duties (outpatient telehealth and in-person clinics; inpatient consultations) with increasing administrative and leadership responsibilities.
Board-certified in Addiction Medicine, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry or Family Practice, you will mentor a team of Advanced Practice Providers,
Qualifications
- Board Certification is required in Addiction Medicine, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry or Family Practice.
- Focused training or experience in tobacco treatment is highly valued.
- Research and publication in tobacco treatment is highly valued.
- Experience in grant writing and successful grant funding is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Outpatient clinic management (telehealth and in-person) for complex cases.
- Inpatient consultation at Duke University Hospital and other Duke facilities.
- Oversight of a team of about 15 Advanced Practice Providers.
- Collaborate with Program Director to expand services.
- Engage in clinical research as Co-Investigator or PI; educate residents and staff.
