Job summary

Interact Clinical in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a Clinical Research Physician to provide participant care and medical oversight for its clinical studies. This is an opportunity to help establish the clinical service and develop investigator experience as the business grows.

You will conduct study-related medical assessments, monitor participant safety, review protocols, manage adverse events, and ensure regulatory compliance on-site with the clinical team.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent licensed physician in NC.
• Residency in family or internal medicine or relevant specialty.
• Active NC medical license; ability to obtain if not current.
• Experience in clinical research and investigator roles.
• Familiarity with GCP, safety reporting, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess participants through medical histories, physical exams, and review of medications and labs.
• Confirm medical eligibility and fitness for dosing and continued participation.
• Support informed consent discussions and explain procedures and risks.
• Provide on-site medical cover during dosing and study activities.
• Identify, assess and manage adverse events and complete safety documentation.
• Review protocols for clinical feasibility and participant safety.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and respond to data queries.
• Work within approved protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to clinical procedures, staff training, and quality improvement.
• Participate in sponsor discussions, monitoring visits, audits and inspections.
