Appledore Family Medicine, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Physician Services Office Scheduler in Portsmouth, NH. This full-time, Monday–Friday day-shift role offers no nights, no on-call, no weekends, and no holidays, focusing on scheduling patient appointments and maintaining the practice schedule.

You will verify insurance and patient demographics, inform patients about carrier networks, and coordinate testing with pre-cert/authorization details to ensure smooth visit flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Experience with patient scheduling and insurance verification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedules all patient appointments for physician practices, including cancellations and changes.
• Performs insurance verification and demographic verification for patients.
• Communicates testing requirements and coordinates pre-cert/authorization numbers as needed.
• Works with office staff to maintain accurate scheduling in the system.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Full time (Monday - Friday, day shift), no nights, no on-call, no weekends, no holidays

Seeking a Physician Services Office Scheduler who is responsible for scheduling patient appointments in the registration system and maintaining the practice schedule appropriately.

What you will do in this role:

Schedules all patient appointments for physician practices including cancellations and changes

Insurance verification and verification of patient demographics

Select accurate insurance carrier plans and informs the patient of any carrier that is out of network

Inform the physician office staff or patient of any testing requirements according to the instructions and queries in the scheduling module

Work closely with the physician office staff to ensure that pre-cert/authorization numbers are entered in the scheduling or registration system as needed

Select the correct patient medical record number consistently

Other duties as assigned

What Qualifications you will need:
