A leading medical society seeks a Psychiatrist for its Recovery Services program. The role focuses on delivering evidence-based care to Veterans with opioid use disorder, requiring a unique blend of psychiatric and addiction expertise. Ideal candidates will be double board certified or eligible in both fields, with a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
This position involves a Psychiatrist working within the Recovery Services (outpatient substance use disorder treatment program) to deliver evidence-based care for Veterans diagnosed with opioid use disorder treated with Buprenorphine, as well as those with psychiatric needs involved in Recovery Services. The ideal candidate will be double board certified (General psychiatry and Addiction psychiatry) or board eligible.
To qualify, applicants must meet the basic and any additional requirements listed in the job announcement. Pending training or license completion applicants may be considered tentatively. VA physicians previously appointed under the old standards are deemed qualified.
