Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Practice Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of a physician practice, coordinating patient access, scheduling, chart management, and nursing functions. • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field; physician practice management experience; experience with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Administer and coordinate operations for the physician practice to ensure clinical quality, financial viability, safety, service excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Supervise the assigned Physician Practice and all its employees; coordinate patient access, scheduling, pre-authorization, chart management and nursing functions.
• Ensure compliance with departmental throughput goals and support leadership in strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Works collaboratively with Northside Hospital Leadership to administer and coordinate all operations in order to achieve and maintain clinical quality, financial viability, patient and visitor safety as well as service excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsible for the day to day operations and supervision of the assigned Physician Practice and all its employees. Responsible for the coordination of all practice services including but not limited to patient access, scheduling, pre-authorization, chart management, nursing, any procedures and/or other functions. Is responsible for ensuring compliance with departmental operational through-put goals. The job classifications of Practice Coordinator I, II, III share this common job description. The assignment of level is based on the score produced when scope data related to the physician practice .

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), post-secondary education or (1) one year work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in business, nursing, or healthcare related field OR:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 1 year of leadership experience in business, nursing or healthcare related field.
• If LPN or RN, licensure required.

PREFERRED

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field
• Physician practice or other ambulatory care setting management experience.
• Computer knowledge experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Implementation and maintenance of an electronic medical record.

Work Hours:

8am - 4pm
