Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Practice Coordinator to oversee daily operations of the physician practice and supervise staff. You will coordinate patient access, scheduling, chart management and nursing activities to ensure smooth operations and high-quality care for patients.

The role requires leadership experience in healthcare, licensure if RN/LPN, and familiarity with EMR systems, with the aim of delivering service excellence and compliant throughput.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in business, nursing, or healthcare.
• Bachelor's Degree in related field with 1 year leadership experience.
• If LPN or RN, licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and supervision of the assigned Physician Practice.
• Coordinate patient access, scheduling, pre-authorization, chart management, nursing and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with departmental throughput goals.

Works collaboratively with Northside Hospital Leadership to administer and coordinate all operations in order to achieve and maintain clinical quality, financial viability, patient and visitor safety as well as service excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsible for the day to day operations and supervision of the assigned Physician Practice and all its employees. Responsible for the coordination of all practice services including but not limited to patient access, scheduling, pre-authorization, chart management, nursing, any procedures and/or other functions. Is responsible for ensuring compliance with departmental operational through-put goals. The job classifications of Practice Coordinator I, II, III share this common job description. The assignment of level is based on the score produced when scope data related to the physician practice.

Required

• High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), post-secondary education or (1) one year work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in business, nursing, or healthcare related field OR:
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 1 year of leadership experience in business, nursing or healthcare related field.
• If LPN or RN, licensure required.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field
• Physician practice or other ambulatory care setting management experience.
• Computer knowledge experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Implementation and maintenance of an electronic medical record.
