Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Practice Coordinator to supervise operations of a physician practice, ensuring patient access, scheduling, and chart management flow smoothly.

The role requires leadership experience in healthcare, licensure if RN/LPN, and familiarity with EMR systems; preference given to those with ambulatory care management experience and a business/healthcare admin background.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED: High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education.
• REQUIRED: 3 years leadership experience in business, nursing, or healthcare related field; LPN/RN licensure if applicable.
• OR: Bachelor’s Degree in related field with 1 year leadership experience in healthcare.
• PREFERRED: Bachelor's in business administration, healthcare administration or related field; physician practice/ambulatory care management experience.
• PREFERRED: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; EMR implementation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Northside Hospital Leadership to administer and coordinate operations.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and staff of the assigned Physician Practice.
• Coordinate patient access, scheduling, pre-authorization, chart management, nursing, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with departmental throughput goals and service-excellence standards.

Responsibilities

Works collaboratively with Northside Hospital Leadership to administer and coordinate all operations in order to achieve and maintain clinical quality, financial viability, patient and visitor safety as well as service excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsible for the day to day operations and supervision of the assigned Physician Practice and all its employees. Responsible for the coordination of all practice services including but not not limited to patient access, scheduling, pre-authorization, chart management, nursing, any procedures and/or other functions. Is responsible for ensuring compliance with departmental operational through-put goals. The job classifications of Practice Coordinator I, II, III share this common job description. The assignment of level is based on the score produced when scope data related to the physician practice.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• High school diploma,equivalent education (GED), orpost-secondary education.
• Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in business, nursing, or healthcare related field;
• If LPN or RN, licensure required.

OR

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 1 year of leadership experience in business, nursing or healthcare related field.

PREFERRED

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field
• Physician practice or other ambulatory care setting management experience.
• Computer knowledge experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Implementation and maintenance of an electronic medical record.
