Benefit options and eligibility vary by position. Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance, and salary range at the time of the offer.

**Responsibilities**

  • Provide medical direction in care management, clinical documentation improvement, coding, quality, and compliance processes.
  • Review medical records of identified patients to assist with care level and length of stay determinations.
  • Assist and manage the denial management process.
  • Review and suggest improvements related to resources and service management.
  • Educate physicians and clinicians on regulatory requirements, appropriate utilization of care levels, community resources, and end-of-life care.
  • Develop strategies and processes to reduce denials and audits.
  • Assist with appeals.
  • Use hospital data to identify and analyze patterns of service utilization and quality metrics, making recommendations to achieve goals.

**Requirements**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation prior to hire or transfer, verified by local credentialing office.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), Doctor of Optometry (OD), or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.

**Additional Preferences**

This is a hybrid position but will require mostly on-site work.
