Job summary

The Translational Pulmonary & Immunology Research Center is seeking a Pediatric Pulmonologist to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for pediatric patients, with participation in innovative clinical research and our teaching fellowship program.

This on-site position at Long Beach includes mentorship of fellows and trainees, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and engagement in education and scholarly activities.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of Pediatric residency training.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology.
  • California medical license (or eligibility).
  • DEA registration.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and collaborative mindset.
  • Interest or experience in research, education, or academic medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical care for pediatric respiratory conditions including Cystic Fibrosis, Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, Severe Asthma, and Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia.
  • Deliver care across inpatient coverage and outpatient clinic settings.
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and academic activities.
  • Mentor fellows, mid-level providers, and trainees as appropriate.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and education.

  • Salary Range: $275,000.00 - $325,000.00 per year (based on experience and qualifications)

Position Overview
