Job description

Physician - Clinical Pediatric Intensivist

Join our rapidly expanding, nationally recognized cancer institute as we seek to hire two full-time Pediatric Intensivists to join City of Hope's Department of Pediatrics.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Full-time hours with an annual shift requirement of 14 shifts per month (12-hour shifts). Shifts may range from 12-24 hours.
2. Primary clinical responsibility in the care of pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients in the pediatric critical care unit.
3. Nighttime care of pediatric inpatients on the pediatric floor, including working as a pediatric nocturnist.
4. Provide outpatient and inpatient sedation procedures for pediatric patients.
5. Teaching responsibilities, including developing and maintaining a Pediatric ICU Curriculum, training Pediatric-facing Registered Nurses, and creating proctoring relationships with ICU providers for procedures such as bronchoscopy and bronchoalveolar lavage.
6. Attend pediatric division didactic conferences and meetings as relevant. Support in-house surgeons and interventional radiology.
7. Perform procedures for critically ill pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients.
8. Train in performing bronchoscopy for pediatric patients.
9. Participate in projects aimed at increasing the quality of care for pediatric patients.

PAY & BENEFITS

Base Salary Range: $220K - $350K (This range is for full-time employment base compensation only and does not include incentives or benefits. Actual compensation will be based on experience, training, hospital/community needs, and other factors.)
