Essentia Health Duluth Children’s Hospital, a member of Essential Health, is the region’s largest provider of pediatric care. With 12 outpatient pediatricians, 2 NPs, and many subspecialists on staff—including hospital medicine, PICU, hematology/oncology, neonatology, PM&R, cardiology, pulmonology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology, dermatology, ophthalmology, and orthopedics—we care for the area’s critically ill infants and children. Essentia Health‑St. Mary’s Medical Center is a Level II pediatric trauma center.

Practice specifics:

We are seeking a 1.0 FTE and one casual Pediatric Gastroenterologist in Duluth, MN, to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with our current full‑time Pediatric GI physician and support staff to grow services
• Perform a full spectrum of endoscopy procedures in Essentia’s state‑of‑the‑art Digestive Health Center
• Rotate call with partner
• Partner on all GI hospital admissions with acute‑care pediatric hospitalists and intensivists who serve as primary
• Be supported by child‑life specialists and other services uniquely designed for children and adolescents
• Join a robust pediatric subspecialty team as we continue to expand and grow services throughout our region
• Treat patients/families coming from an area that includes North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the UP of Michigan
• Have access to continuing education and CME reimbursement

Compensation:

$187.00 an hour. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production‑based compensation.
