$250,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr

Summary

The Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service at Veterans Affairs (VA), Northport Healthcare System is currently recruiting for a full-time Staff Pathologist who is board certified in Anatomic Pathology (AP) and Clinical Pathology (CP), with progressive experience in breadth and intensity.

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP).

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Perform surgical pathology, cytopathology, and anatomic pathology on a rotational basis with the Chief of P&LMS and other Fee Basis pathologists.
• Process (grossing) and read slides for diagnosis on emergent and routine requests, including histology and cytology specimens.
• Provide medical and administrative consultative coverage during non-routine tours on a rotational basis.
• Ensure compliance with federal statutes, VA directives, policies, and The Joint Commission standards.
