Job summary

Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY, is part of the Bassett Healthcare Network and seeks an experienced pathologist to join an established group covering the network’s Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs.

Primary duties include anatomic pathology sign-out with teaching responsibilities and directorship of the outlying network laboratory. Annual salary is $375,000 with a sign-on bonus up to $100,000 and the group-employed model.

Qualifications

• MD, DO or MBBS degree.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified.
• BLS Certification Required.
• Possession of or ability to obtain NYS Licensure and COQ.

Responsibilities

• Replace a retiring member of an established group covering the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs of the network.
• Primary duties are anatomic pathology sign-out.
• General practice including teaching responsibilities and directorship of outlying network laboratory.
• Approximately 20,000 surgical cases and 10,000 Cytopathology cases (2,000 non-gyn) are examined annually with support staff.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Replace a retiring member of an established group of five pathologists covering the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs of the entire integrated network

• Primary duties are anatomic pathology sign-out

• General practice, including minor teaching responsibilities and directorship of outlying network laboratory

• Approximately 20,000 surgical cases and 10,000 Cytopathology cases (2,000 non-gyn) are examined annually with the support of Pathologist's Assistants and Cytotechnologists

• Annual Salary: $375,000. This compensation represents Bassett Healthcare's good faith belief in the compensation at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards

• Sign-on Bonus up to $100,000
