Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network in Central New York seeks a full-time AP/CP Pathologist to replace a retiring member. Primary duties include anatomic pathology sign-out and leadership of a network laboratory, with teaching responsibilities as part of a progressive academic health system.

Compensation includes a $375,000 base salary with sign-on up to $100,000, and benefits spanning CME time, paid time off, and comprehensive insurance.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required and board certification preferred.
• BC/BE in pathology.
• Able to obtain NYS licensure and COQ.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Sign-out in Anatomic Pathology and manage pathology service for Bassett Network.
• Lead general pathology practice with occasional teaching duties and direct responsibility for a network laboratory.
• Support approximately 20,000 surgical cases and 10,000 Cytopathology cases annually with staff assistance.

• Salary: $375,000

• Location: Cooperstown, NY

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Replace a retiring member of an established group of five pathologists covering the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs of the entire integrated network
• Primary duties are anatomic pathology sign-out
• General practice including minor teaching responsibilities and directorship of outlying network laboratory
• Approximately 20,000 surgical cases and 10,000 Cytopathology cases (2,000 non-gyn) examined annually with the support of Pathologist’s Assistants and Cytotechnologists
• Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region
• Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons

Compensation

• Annual Salary: $375,000.
• This compensation represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation at the time of this posting or advertisement.
