Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network in Cooperstown, NY seeks a pathologist to join a five-member group covering the integrated network with a focus on anatomic pathology sign-out. The role includes general practice and teaching duties, plus leadership of an outlying network laboratory.

Approximately 20,000 surgical cases and 10,000 Cytopathology cases are reviewed annually with support from Pathologist's Assistants and Cytotechnologists.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS degree required.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified.
• BLS Certification required.
• Possession of or ability to obtain NYS licensure and NYS COQ.

Responsibilities

• Replace a retiring member of an established group of five pathologists covering the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs of the entire integrated network.
• Primary duties are anatomic pathology sign-out.
• General practice, including minor teaching responsibilities and directorship of outlying network laboratory.
• Approximately 20,000 surgical cases and 10,000 Cytopathology cases (2,000 non-gyn) are examined annually with the support of Pathologist's Assistants and Cytotechnologists.
