Job summary

HealthyU Clinics is seeking a Pain Management Physician to lead patient-centered treatment plans for chronic pain and to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including interventional procedures, neuromodulation, and minimally invasive surgical techniques.

The role requires MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Pain Management (or related fields), active licensure, and a commitment to evidence-based practices. Strong collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pain Management, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), Neurology, or Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Lead patient-centered treatment plans for chronic pain, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.
  • Perform minimally invasive fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided procedures and interventional pain management techniques as appropriate.
  • Prescribe medications and implement non-pharmacological pain management strategies while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Educate patients on pain management strategies and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

As a Pain Management Physician, you will lead patient-centered treatment plans to address chronic pain . This role involves working closely with patients, referring providers, and a multidisciplinary care team to ensure the highest standard of care.



  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized pain management treatment plans for patients with chronic pain conditions.

  • Perform minimally invasive fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided procedures such as injections, epidurals, radiofrequency ablation, nerve blocks, spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulator trials, and minimally invasive spinal interventions as appropriate including kyphoplasty, stimulator implants, intrathecal pump implants, minimally invasive lumbar decompression, and minimally invasive sacroiliac joint fusions.

  • Prescribe medications and implement non-pharmacological pain management strategies.

  • Collaborate with physical therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive pain treatment plans.

  • Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as necessary.

  • Educate patients on pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options.

  • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and comply with regulatory guidelines.

  • Ensure compliance with opioid prescribing regulations, pain management protocols, and quality care standards.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay updated on advancements in pain management treatments.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements


  • MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pain Management, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), or Neurology, or Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine.

  • Valid state medical license (must be active before the first day of employment).

  • Two (2) years clinical practice experience in Pain Management preferred. New fellowship grad applications maybe be considered.

  • Fellowship training in Pain Medicine (Required) - ACGME approved fellowship.

  • 2 Professional References.

  • Ability to work collaboratively.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in interventional pain management procedures

  • Knowledge of pharmacological treatments for pain management including opioids, best practices and alternative pain therapies

  • Familiarity with chronic disease management

  • Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

  • Experience in Nerve Conduction Studies, preferred.

  • Experience providing primary (longitudinal) care.
