Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited residency (Anesthesiology, PM&R, Neurology, Psychiatry or related).
• Completion of an accredited Pain Medicine fellowship.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Pain Medicine.
• Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure.
• DEA registration or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal, neuropathic, spine-related, and cancer-related pain syndromes.
• Perform interventional pain procedures (e.g., injections, nerve blocks, ablations, neuromodulation).
• Manage pharmacologic pain therapies per guidelines and regulations.
• Coordinate care with primary care, surgeons, physical therapy, behavioral health, and other specialists.
• Educate patients regarding pain conditions, options, and functional goals.
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiatives.
• Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers and staff as applicable.
• Comply with regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards.

Job description

The Pain Management Physician provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with acute, chronic, and cancer-related pain. This role emphasizes multidisciplinary, evidence-based pain management strategies, including interventional procedures, medication management, and coordination of care to improve patient function and quality of life.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions
• Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal, neuropathic, spine-related, and cancer-related pain syndromes
• Perform interventional pain procedures consistent with training and privileges (e.g., injections, nerve blocks, ablations, neuromodulation as applicable)
• Manage pharmacologic pain therapies in accordance with clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate care with primary care providers, surgeons, physical therapy, behavioral health, and other specialists
• Educate patients regarding pain conditions, treatment options, and functional goals
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiatives

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited residency program (e.g., Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology, Psychiatry, or related specialty)
• Completion of an accredited Pain Medicine fellowship
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Pain Medicine
• Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
• DEA registration or eligibility

• Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for patient assessment and procedural care
