Responsibilities

• Perform 12–14 procedures/surgeries per day.
• Credentialing timeframe ~90 days.

Description:This position involves clinic work and surgeries, with no call requirements.Hours are scheduled Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.Preference is for a provider to work two weeks on and two weeks off.During the first week, the focus will be on surgeries and procedures.The second week will involve follow-up appointments.The practice is busy, and the ideal candidate should maintain productivity by seeing no fewer than four clinic patients per hour.The expectation is to perform 12-14 procedures or surgeries per day.Support staff includes two efficient and knowledgeable medical assistants.There are three rooms in the department to accommodate patient needs.The facility requires physicians to be board certified.Credentialing timeframe is approximately 90 days.Required specialty skills include surgical and invasive ophthalmology procedures, particularly cataract removal and phacoemulsification.The candidate should be able to perform intraocular injections as well.Ultrasound interpretation skills (A and B-Scan) and photos interpretation are also necessary.Fluorescein angiography interpretation and optical coherence tomography interpretation skills are required.
