Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing seeks a board-certified ophthalmologist for a locum tenens assignment in Houghton, MI. You will provide outpatient ophthalmology care, including patient evaluations and follow-ups, with emphasis on high-volume clinic flow.

The role covers cataract surgeries and intravitreal injections, 12–14 procedures daily, and a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation. Working hours are Monday–Friday, 8a–5p, with Epic EMR support and outpatient service only.

Qualifications

• Board certification in ophthalmology is required.
• Michigan medical license or IMLC eligibility is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient ophthalmology clinical care, including patient evaluations and follow-ups.
• Perform cataract surgeries and intravitreal injections.
• Maintain a high volume of clinic patients (minimum 4 patients per hour).
• Perform surgical procedures (12-14 per day) in the first week of each two-week rotation.
• Collaborate with supporting MAs and ensure efficient workflow.
