THIS IS A WORK FROM HOME ROLE:

SCHEDULE MONDAY - FRIDAY, WITH 8-HOUR SHIFTS BETWEEN 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM CST (shifts may change after training)

  Job Summary and Qualifications

  The Physician Services Scheduler handles incoming calls, schedules patient appointments, verifies insurance, routes calls, and communicates with departments and physician offices.

  Responsibilities include:

  • Answering calls professionally and promptly
  • Scheduling and modifying patient appointments
  • Verifying insurance and patient demographics
  • Informing patients about insurance plans and out-of-network providers
  • Providing Good Faith Estimates upon request
  • Communicating testing requirements to physician staff
  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness in scheduling records
  • Entering pre-certifications and authorization numbers
  • Maintaining correct patient records and communication methods

  Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One year of related experience preferred
  • Experience with EClinical Works preferred; Meditech or Cerner is a plus
  • Experience in physician scheduling preferred
  • Remote employees must reside within 60 miles of an HCA hospital
