Essentia Health in Fargo, ND seeks a BE/BC OB/GYN to join as a hospitalist providing 24/7 in-house obstetric coverage for labor and delivery, triage, and ED OB care. You’ll manage high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies and perform deliveries as the primary surgeon.

The role supports collaboration with midwives, anesthesia, pediatrics, and nursing, with on-site Gyn Oncology and subspecialty support. 0.6 FTE, typical call schedule, and a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Must be BE/BC in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Experience managing high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies preferred.
• Ability to perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections as primary surgeon.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 in-house obstetric coverage for labor and delivery, triage, and ED obstetric care.
• Collaborate with midwives, community OB/GYNs, anesthesia, pediatrics, and nursing to ensure safe patient-centered care.
• Respond to OB/GYN consults, evaluate and manage gynecologic issues presenting through the ED and inpatient services.

OB/GYN HOSPITALIST (0.6 FTE)Fargo, NDPRACTICE SPECIFICSSeeking a BE/BC OB/GYN to join our team of MDs, NPs, and CNMs. Essentia is a well-established practice in a rapidly growing community with approximately 1300 deliveries/yearAs Hospitalist you will provide 24/7 in-house obstetric coverage for labor & delivery, triage, and emergency OB care. This includes management of high-risk pregnancies, obstetric emergencies, and unassigned/ED obstetric patients. Role includes performing vaginal deliveries, operative vaginal deliveries, and cesarean sections as primary surgeonCollaborate closely with midwives, community OB/GYNs, anesthesia, pediatrics, and nursing to ensure safe, patient-centered careRespond to OB/GYN consults from other hospital departments, including evaluation and management of gynecologic issues presenting through the ED and inpatient services.
