Job description

Seeking a B/C or B/E Epileptologist to join 6 neurologists and 2 nurse practitioners in an established practice. Medical Center, a 970+ bed level 1 trauma facility, serves as the regional leader for Neurosciences and is the only Comprehensive Stroke Center in eastern North Carolina.

Position Details

1. Employed position due to program expansion
2. Outpatient-focused role with minimal inpatient responsibilities
3. Team includes 9 neurosurgeons, including 3 dual-trained cerebrovascular neurosurgeons, an interventional neurologist, neuro-oncologist, stroke neurohospitalists, neurologists, neurointensivists, and a large team of nurse practitioners and physician assistants
4. Strong inpatient support from in-house stroke team
5. Hospital features a 24-bed NSICU led by neurointensivists and a large rehab center supporting neurology patients
6. Investments in technology include Gamma Knife, NeuroBlate, and RAPID

The Neuroscience Program employs a multidisciplinary approach, offering diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for neurological disorders. The team includes specialty-trained staff in nursing, neurology, general neurosurgery, vascular and endovascular neurosurgery, neuro-spine surgery, neuroradiology (including 24/7 coverage), neuro-critical care, and neuro-oncology. The team is dedicated to patient- and family-centered care to optimize outcomes.
