WVU Medicine, West Virginia University Health System Medical Group (WVUHS Medical Group), is actively recruiting Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our Acute Resource Group (ARG). The ARG is an internal group of mobile physicians supporting our system Emergency Departments throughout West Virginia and Pennsylvania, with potential expansion to additional states. These physicians cover acute needs in our Emergency Departments, ensuring high-quality care. All facilities currently use Epic Electronic Medical System or will adopt it within the next 12 months.
The Department of Emergency Medicine has over 200 full-time members across diverse practice sites, offering various clinical experiences anchored by an academic affiliation with WVU's School of Medicine.
The WVU Health System has expanded significantly in specialty and sub-specialty care, including cancer, heart and vascular, and neuroscience. It operates West Virginia's first and only multi-organ transplant center and opened a new 150-bed Children's Hospital in September 2022.
