Job summary

Helio Health in Rochester, NY is seeking a part-time Physician (MD or DO) to join our Comprehensive Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program. The role focuses on management and coordination of services for patients in our treatment programs and will be based at our Rochester OTP.

Physician (MD or DO) – Part Time

Job Location: Rochester, NY

Pay Rate: $130.00–$150.00 per hour

Overview

Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. The Physician will provide management and coordination of services to patients participating in our treatment programs.

The Physician will work on a Part Time basis out of Helio Health's Rochester Comprehensive Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP).

Responsibilities

• The Physician works independently under the administrative supervision of the Service Director or Regional Vice President and the medical and clinical supervision of the Medical Director and/or Physician.
• The Physician works with patients, agency staff and volunteers, community agencies and other providers of medical/psychiatric services.
• Provide direct patient care of medical examination and monitoring, implementation of medical orders, diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.
• Serve on special review and quality assurance committees as assigned.
• Provide and document medical consultation, assessment, examination, treatment planning and review consistent with agency policy and requirements.
• On-call responsibilities required for specific levels of care.
• Other related assignments and duties consistent with training and experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed physician currently registered by the NYS Education Department.
• At least one year of experience or comparable training in the treatment of substance abuse and/or dependency.
• Have prescriptive authority and a DEA number.
• Basic computer skills required.
