Physician Liaison / Outreach Coordinator

Position Requirement: Part-Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Location: Revere, MA

Join a leading clinician-led behavioral health company today! OptiMindHealth (OMH) is expanding and seeking compassionate professionals to join our team. OMH provides superior behavioral health services to patients in Massachusetts, Colorado, and Montana. Since 2016, we have specialized in serving both adult and adolescent patients in a supportive outpatient environment. Our practice strives to improve access to holistic and cost-effective mental health care while supporting our clinical and administrative staff in all aspects of their work. This position is an entry-level Physician Liaison / Outreach Coordinator role. Preferred candidates will possess a B2B Sales background with a strong focus on building and managing referral relationships in the healthcare industry. On-the-job training will be provided for all job duties, which may expand over time. $20-$30/hour based on experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, initiate, and maintain contact/relationships with referral sources within a specified territory and/or strategy to yield new referrals and maintain the existing referral base.
  2. Conduct sales meetings with medical providers and referral coordinators to ascertain their needs and provide thorough explanations of service line attributes.
  3. Complete and track follow-up meetings with medical providers to close new or additional business and identify obstacles to growth.
  4. Identify and communicate key trends in service gaps and recommend solutions to leadership.
  5. Facilitate meetings with healthcare institution office managers to gather market intelligence and understand referral patterns.
  6. Document meeting results and necessary follow-up in the CRM system. Prepare and present weekly activity reports.
  7. Facilitate the organization’s response to new business opportunities through information gathering and proactive interaction.
  8. Contribute to the development of sales function and strategy by collaborating with individuals to execute sales and retention strategies.
  9. Evaluate, analyze, and interpret market demographics for medical providers and patient populations.
  10. Work with the internal organization to develop materials that support medical providers' informational needs.

Job Requirements:

  1. Sales Execution and Customer Relationship Management (75% of time)
  2. Internal Integration (10% of time)
  3. Market Assessment/Sales Planning (10% of time)
  4. Participation in OptiMindHealth’s Strategic Growth Team (5% of time)

Qualifications:

  1. Familiarity with the organization’s entire network of services and operations.
  2. Understanding of the practice of medicine, including referral relationships and payer requirements.
  3. Experience in planning, organizing, and managing performance goals.
  4. Ability to respond proactively to client needs.
  5. Experience cultivating productive relationships with clients.
  6. Proven ability to achieve targets independently.
  7. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.

Skills and Strengths:

  1. Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
  2. Ability to work effectively with a broad range of people.
  3. Experience in sales, marketing, or public relations.
  4. Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  5. Ability to motivate and persuade referring doctors and institutions.
  6. Familiarity with electronic health records platforms.
  7. Excellent knowledge of sales and customer relationship management software.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or public health administration.
  2. Two years of progressive healthcare sales experience preferably in a multi-site healthcare organization.
