Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's Abrazo West Campus in Goodyear, AZ seeks a board-certified physician leader to join as a Physician Advisor on site. You will influence utilization management, documentation integrity, and physician education to improve patient care and hospital performance.

You will chair the Utilization Management Committee, educate providers, and collaborate with CDI/HIM teams to reduce denials while sustaining high-quality care. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with current Florida license or ability to attain
• Board certified in specialty recognized by the ABMS
• Minimum 5 years of physician leadership experience in a hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Review cases for appropriate Level of Care and monitor observation stays
• Educate physicians and committees on utilization and documentation best practices
• Lead daily huddles, complex case conferences, and peer education
• Chair the Utilization Management Committee quarterly
• Manage payer denials, including peer-to-peer reviews
• Partner with CDI/HIM teams to improve documentation quality
• Collaborate with administration to reduce financial risks from unnecessary services and extended stays
