Nejm is seeking an interventional cardiologist to join its team at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive patient care while actively teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Opportunities for clinical research are also available.
This position requires board certification or eligibility in interventional cardiology, as well as completion of the necessary residency and fellowship programs. Scheduled weekly hours are 40, and travel to additional sites across several states may be required.
West Virginia University Health System is the largest health system and private employer in the state, comprising 18 hospitals and five institutes. The system also provides management services for other local hospitals through affiliate agreements.
West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute seek interventional cardiologists to practice general and interventional cardiology based at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV.
In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will actively teach medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows. Opportunities also exist in clinical research.
Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites across West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. Travel to these sites is anticipated and expected.
