Job summary

WVU Heart & Vascular Institute in Parkersburg, WV invites applications for a NonInvasive Cardiologist at ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The position supports teaching and clinical research opportunities within a leading academic environment.

The successful candidate will teach medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows, with potential travel to affiliated sites as needed.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligible for state medical license.
• Board certification in cardiovascular disease (or eligible) with imaging certification or intent to certify in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and/or MRI.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Additional Job Description:

The WVU School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seek a NonInvasive Cardiologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) for a faculty position in Parkersburg, WV.

Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Candidates must board certified or eligible in cardiovascular disease with additional certification or intent to certify in imaging modalities such as echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and/or MRI. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidates will be actively involved in teaching medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows. Opportunities also exist in clinical research.
