Job summary

Walden Behavioral Care is seeking a Family Medicine/Internal Medicine/Medicine-Pediatrics Physician to join our Dedham team. You will manage medical care for patients with eating disorders in a collaborative behavioral health setting, working with psychiatrists, therapists, and nurses.

The role emphasizes comprehensive evaluations, disease management, and education for patients and families, within an inclusive, patient-centered environment in Dedham, MA.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification (or eligibility) in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Medicine and Pediatrics.
• Active Massachusetts medical license or ability to obtain.
• Experience in behavioral health or eating disorder care is preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with teamwork in care delivery.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical evaluations and ongoing management for patients in eating disorder treatment.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, dietitians, and nursing staff for integrated care.
• Monitor and manage medical complications related to eating disorders and malnutrition.
• Conduct routine assessments, laboratory reviews, and medication management.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
• Educate patients and families on medical aspects of eating disorders and recovery.
• Support transitions of care, discharge planning, and outpatient coordination.
• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with standards.
