Job summary

Walden Behavioral Care in Dedham, MA is seeking a Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Medicine-Pediatrics physician to join our multidisciplinary team. You will provide medical management for patients with eating disorders and co-occurring conditions, collaborating with psychiatrists, nurses, dietitians, and therapists in a behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required
• Board certification in FM/IM/Med-Peds or eligibility
• Active and unrestricted MA medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Experience in behavioral health or hospital-based medicine preferred
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with complex patient management
• Excellent communication and collaboration in a team setting

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical evaluations and ongoing management for patients in eating disorder treatment
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, dietitians and nursing staff
• Monitor and manage medical complications such as electrolyte imbalances and malnutrition
• Perform routine medical assessments, labs and medication management
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning
• Educate patients and families on medical aspects and recovery options
• Support transitions of care and discharge planning with outpatient providers
• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with standards

Walden Behavioral Care is seeking a Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Medicine-Pediatrics Physician to join our multidisciplinary team at our Dedham, MA, location. This physician will play a crucial role in the medical management of patients with eating disorders and co-occurring medical conditions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative behavioral health setting.

Pay: $200,000.00-$225,000.00 depending on experience

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, dietitians, and nursing staff to ensure holistic, integrated patient care.
• Monitor and manage medical complications related to eating disorders, including but not limited to electrolyte imbalances, malnutrition, and refeeding syndrome.
• Conduct routine medical assessments and follow-ups, including laboratory review and medication management.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized treatment planning.
• Educate patients and families on medical aspects of eating disorders, treatment options, and recovery strategies.
• Support transitions of care, including discharge planning and coordination with outpatient providers.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification (or eligibility) in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Medicine and Pediatrics (both).
• Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Massachusetts (or ability to obtain).
• Experience in behavioral health, eating disorder treatment, or hospital-based medicine is preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to manage medically complex patients.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented approach to car e.
