Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification (or eligibility) in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Adolescent Medicine or Medicine and Pediatrics (both).
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical evaluations, treatment, and ongoing management for patients in eating disorder treatment at Walden Behavioral Care.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, dietitians, and nursing staff to ensure holistic, integrated patient care.
• Monitor and manage medical complications related to eating disorders (electrolyte imbalances, malnutrition, refeeding syndrome).
• Conduct routine medical assessments and follow-ups, including lab review and medication management.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized treatment planning.
• Educate patients and families on medical aspects, treatment options, and recovery strategies.
• Support transitions of care, including discharge planning with outpatient providers.
• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with regulations.
